REVIEWS- SKINCARE PRODUCT

so you all should know how sensitive my skin actually is. i always have to depend on my dermatologist and spend alot.. i mean it.. ALOT of money on them which i found it annoying because it made me feel that i have to depend on them. i do get jealous when i see my friends trying on different products from outside and i felt how easy it will be if i can use other outside products right? i mean i can get them at the nearest mall whenever i feel like it, unlike dermatologist where i had to drive for 1 hour, then wait for another 1-2 hours, let alone i cant wake up early so whenever i am there i had to suffer from my hunger cuz i always skipped my breakie, then the meds and the consultation, god i wont go on haha

so, i thought to myself, what products will be better for my skin? sensitive, oily,acne prone if i dont really take care and simply bought a product that will ruined my skin.

i had to do research for months and decided to buy:
- SARIAYU MARTHA TILAAR
- CLINIQUE
- ERHA

SARIAYU MARTHA TILAAR is a local product and they use natural ingredients in most of their product range. so i tot, it wont be that bad right if i use it? since it is natural product. so i bought their cleanser for acne and their moisturizer for my oily skin. My reviews on them: the cleanser works well as it didnt leave my skin tight and my face burns, it actually did soothe my skin and when i touch it, it feels so velvety and soft. The moisturizer, it leaves such a wonderful smell, at first when you put it on, it felt kinda oily but after you leave it sometimes, it dries out yet it moisturize your skin. you can actually feel like there is this layer of fresh water on your skin and you feel so refresh ;D

CLINIQUE's super rescue antioxidant night moisturizer, i dont know why i choose this actually hahaha well the story was.. i went to clinique to buy this moisturizer but apparently it is just and extra moisturizer so i feel that if i buy it, it wont work as well as a normal moisturizer would, so i asked the lady in clinique and at first she suggested the other range which i used before and it didnt work well on my skin. it left my skin burning and redness spots all over my face. god i looked hideous when i used it. so she gave me this and so far so good, it hydrate the skin at night. but no break out just a tiny one and i think it is normal hahha

ERHA- well this is jsut a facial scrub that i already bought so i had to use it. ;P

REVIEWS- MINERAL POWDER

I always read or heard that people with oily skin is better off using a mineral powder as their foundation. I feel curious *again* about mineral powder foundation and decided to give them a test on my skin. of course with a depth research on my skin (REMEMBER: DO A RESEARCH ON YOUR SKIN), with my combination to oily + acne prone skin, and also i didnt want to wear a HIGH-END brand that maybe will not be working well on my skin, i decided to research on just drugstore brand and decided to buy REVLON COLOURSTAY MINERAL FOUNDATION & LOREAL TRUE MATCH MINERALS

i always, repeat, ALWAYS love REVLON. i dont know why. REVLON JUST WORKED WELL ON MY SKIN! but i cant deny that there is a tiny feeling of uncertainty when it comes to mineral foundation ;P nevertheless i still tried them.

after i tested them out on my skin for a whole day, both brand are good! it feels light on my skin and it covers well! leaving your skin flawless and smooth like a baby! althought i prefer revlon due to the colour. i guess it works well on my skin but LOREAL isnt so bad . I LOVE THEM BOTH.

if you have an oily skin, do try mineral loose powder foundation ;) but dont forget: ALWAYS DO A IN DEPTH REASEARCH ON YOUR SKIN BECAUSE MY SKIN AND YOURS ARE DIFFERENT. DRY SKIN WILL HAVE TO CHOOSE OTHER BRAND WITH DIFFERENT FORMULAS. ETC.

REVIEWS- BB CREAM

i am sure all of you heard about the craze of "BB CREAM" right? basically, a BB CREAM is a blemish balm where it is coming from SOUTH KOREA *hats off to you for producing such a marvelous product!*. it is also to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes.

i got really curious about this BB CREAM products so i did my research based on my skin condition * GIRLS, PLEASE DO A DEEP RESEARCH ON YOUR SKIN CONDITION FIRST, DO NOT FOLLOW WHAT I RECOMMEND IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT CONDITION AND TONE THAN MINE ;P *

my skin condition:
- COMBINATION TO OILY (OILY ONLY ON THE T-ZONE AREA BUT NOT SO MUCH ON THE OTHERS

so i decided to choose products from KOREA itself since it is coming from there and made for asian skin right?

i bought:
- THEFACESHOP - QUICK & CLEAN OIL FREE BLEMISH BALM (green tube)
- MISSHA - PERFECT COVER BB CREAM SPF42 PA+++ (red tiny tube)

* MISSHA BB CREAM in the picture was just the small sample i recieved when i bought the big bottle*

REVIEWS
- both works well on my skin altho i felt that MISSHA last longer than THEFACESHOP. with MISSHA, my face will still looks dry almost for 5 hrs while THEFACESHOP only last for like 3 hrs? but thats ok cuz they work well on my oily skin and yes it did leave me with a smooth skin!

REVIEWS- 1 DAY MAKE UP COURSE

I am not an expert in make-up or fashion but i love to explore and learn about them. Let me tell you a little bit about myself, when it comes to make up/cosmetics i have the knowledge at *maybe* when i was around 14-15 years old. i always found make-up is fascinating. like how i love they can transform my looks becomes better. so i decided to learn more about make up and when i told my mom about my plan, she suggested to join her friend's make up class. i am not saying bias perspective but i am just being honest when it comes to my opinion but of course i wont mention any name

FIRST CLASS - GRAND MENTENG HOTEL
- my first expectation was : OMG! I CANT WAIT! SO EXCITED! ESPECIALLY WHEN I KNOW IM GONNA GET A FREE GIFT *SOMEHOW IN MY MIND IT WAS A WHOLE MAKE UP SET*
- i am sure you all are familiar with the phrase "never judge the book by its cover" right? i really should remember that phrase because, i had such a high expectation but all i get was the opposite. i wont mention much but basically: their management sucks, shitty hotel with bad lighting, the make up lesson was only 1 hr and we didnt do any practical work so basically we were just watching the make up artist putting make up on a model.
- conclusion: i didnt learn anything at all! it was such a bad first time experience in make up lesson. i guess i had to learn the hard way when it comes in finding out information and all. the make up set that we promised to get was late for 2 weeks

so here are just a shot of the late make up set that i recieved. sorry i didnt take that many cuz of the bad lighting and atmosphere. *trust me you wouldnt want to see either ;) *

SECOND CLASS- PUSPITA MARTHA TILAAR
-my first expectation: *let me remind you that i took days nights weeks months to decided wether to join or not to this class as i had such a bad experience with my first class* i expected that we will be watching them putting make up on models yet at the same time im hoping it will be much better than the prev lesson.
-words cant describe how happy i was when i attend the make up course. yes it is only a day with hairstyling and flower arranging class but we did practical work which is putting make up onto ourselves ;D
- conclusion: guess what?! I HAVE MORE KNOWLEDGE NOW! HAHAHAHA was worth every cents and pennies and rupiahs i paid with my own money! we got free gift, they really taught us the skincare products altho it is their way of selling ;p but i dont mind

2011 endings

hello,
yes i have been MIA. do you guys miss me? ;P

so first of all, i am so sorry for being missing for such a long time. it is because there were so many things i need to do and happened. like i have to finish all of my designs for my lovely clients. god i love them all. they are such nice people :) :* and there were days when i got admitted to the hospital. Dont worry, nothing serious just some over extreme heaty stuff in my own body. i dont know what you call it in english tho but apparently.. i love fried n heaty food like cakes, fried stuff, grilled those with oil n taste yummy! so i think i went abit too far and one night, i got this horrible diarrhea n i wudnt want to describe it cuz it may gross you out ;p but it was horrible, i had to go to the ER at 2am! and when i got home things didnt get better, it got worse! my whole stomach was cramping, hurting like alot of needles poking your tummy. i am talking the whole front back side tummy and woke up at 6am n went to an internist where he told me i need to be admitted to the hospital cuz i need liquid. so there ya go ;) i was busy with this christmas project i am working on but thankfully they are all done and last but not least, i did went on this tiny little trip to Macao for an early christmas holiday cuz u know, being a freelance designer, you gotta work on ur holiday ;) wouldnt want to keep my clients down right?

so anyway.. i have alot of stuff that i need to talk about like:
- my reviews on 2 make up classes
- reviews on 2 bb cream
- reviews on skincare products
- reviews on my mineral powder
- 2011 december haul ;) (will choose some of my fave items and talk about them )
